Glattwerk AG remunerates fed-in solar power at the quarterly reference market price of the Swiss Federal Office of Energy – with no surcharge of its own, but with the statutory minimum remuneration of 6.0 Rp./kWh for systems up to 30 kW. Anyone who additionally assigns the guarantee of origin to Glattwerk has received a further 1.50 Rp./kWh since 1 January 2026. (As of: July 2026)

How does Glattwerk's remuneration model work?
Glattwerk AG – the grid operator in Dübendorf – switched its feed-in remuneration to the market model of the new energy law as of 1 July 2025. Remuneration follows the quarterly averaged reference market price published by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy under Art. 15 EnFV. Glattwerk passes this value through and adjusts prices continuously according to the SFOE publications.

As of: July 2026, according to Glattwerk tariff sheets (feed-in remuneration from 1.7.2025, GO price sheet from 1.1.2026). Tariffs are adjusted periodically – the current publication of Glattwerk AG is decisive.
Unlike ewz, for example, with its stable annual tariff, Glattwerk does not pay a fixed rate: remuneration moves with the electricity market. This is familiar from the EKZ model – with one difference regarding the GO, more on that below.
How low can remuneration fall?
Not below the statutory floor. For the typical single-family-home system under 30 kW, the minimum remuneration of 6.0 Rp./kWh applies – it kicks in whenever a quarter's reference market price falls below it. The Federal Council created these minimums precisely for the scenario that hits solar producers hardest: sun-rich quarters when everyone feeds in at the same time and market prices fall accordingly.
A quirk for larger roofs deserves attention: for systems from 30 to 150 kW with self-consumption, the minimum remuneration applies only pro rata – full 6.0 Rp. for the capacity under 30 kW, 0 Rp. for the part above. Anyone planning an apartment building or commercial roof in this size class in Glattwerk's area should therefore deliberately work through the low-price scenario. Systems without self-consumption are secured at 6.2 Rp.
What does the guarantee of origin bring – and how do you get it?
Since 1 January 2026, Glattwerk has remunerated the ecological added value with 1.50 Rp./kWh, the same in peak and off-peak tariff. Important: this does not happen automatically. The process according to the price sheet:
1. Your system is registered and certified with Pronovo – you receive a confirmation email from Pronovo for registration in the guarantee-of-origin system. 2. You forward this email to info@glattwerk.ch and apply for the GO remuneration. 3. Glattwerk sets up a standing order for the transfer; confirmation with Pronovo must take place within 30 days.
The conditions: system in Glattwerk's grid, at least 2 kW, under 100 kW, no support under a feed-in remuneration system. And a date worth remembering: the annual right to choose – market the GO yourself or assign it to Glattwerk – must be exercised by 30 November for the following year. Glattwerk sets the level of remuneration anew each year; the 1.50 Rp. is therefore not a permanent state but the current rate.
For context: EKZ pays up to 3.00 Rp./kWh for the GO, Glattwerk 1.50 Rp. You cannot choose your grid operator – but you shouldn't leave the 1.50 Rp. on the table either. At 4,000 kWh of feed-in, that's still CHF 60 a year for a one-off completed email.
What does Glattwerk require technically?
Two points from the tariff sheet that must be taken into account when planning:
- Separate meter: systems billed under this tariff need separate metering. Any necessary adjustments to installations and metering equipment are borne by the producer – so they belong in a complete quote.
- Reporting obligation for certificate trading: anyone trading the energy or the certificates elsewhere must notify Glattwerk immediately – relevant if you want to market the GO yourself.
In addition, the usual utility regulations and the supply regulations apply; the system is registered via the standard connection request, which is part of the standard scope on ecoEn projects.
What does this mean for profitability in Dübendorf?
The calculation follows the same logic as everywhere in the market price model: feed-in is the bonus, self-consumption the main lever. Every kilowatt-hour you consume yourself saves you the full electricity purchase price – every one fed in earns the reference market price plus 1.50 Rp. GO. The difference between these two values determines how worthwhile measures such as load shifting or a battery are.
Plan with the annual average of the quarterly values, not with a single good quarter – and deliberately work through the low-price scenario (6.0 Rp. + GO) once. If the system still pays off then, you are on the safe side.
With the GO, we repeatedly see the same pattern in the market-price area: the system is running, the Pronovo certification is there – but the application to the grid operator was never filed, because nobody knew it was needed. That is money given away for zero effort. On our projects, the GO application is therefore part of the handover package: the system, the Pronovo application and the GO registration are handled together before the final documentation is handed over.

What is the current feed-in tariff at Glattwerk?
There is no fixed rate: you are remunerated at the quarterly SFOE reference market price, but at least 6.0 Rp./kWh for systems under 30 kW. On top, on application, there is 1.50 Rp./kWh for the guarantee of origin (as of: July 2026).
Do I have to submit the GO application again every year?
No – once set up, the transfer runs as a standing order. Only the right to choose is annual: anyone wanting to switch the buyer notifies this by 30 November.
Why does Glattwerk pay less GO than EKZ?
Each grid operator sets the level itself and adjusts it annually. Comparing is useful for understanding – but you cannot switch grid operator, it is tied to the address.
Does the minimum remuneration also apply to my 50 kW apartment-building roof?
Only pro rata, provided the system has self-consumption: 6.0 Rp. for the first 30 kW, 0 Rp. for the rest. Without self-consumption, 6.2 Rp. applies to the whole system. This nuance belongs in every profitability calculation for larger roofs.
Do I really need a separate meter?
Yes, the tariff sheet requires this for systems under this remuneration model. In practice this is planned in right at installation – retrofitting is at the producer's expense.
