Wallbox Zurich: charging stations from a specialist company

We work in the City and Canton of Zurich as well as in the cantons of Aargau, Zug, Schwyz, Thurgau and Schaffhausen. If you want to run the wallbox on solar power, ideally combine it right away with a photovoltaic system and battery storage – we match the systems to each other.

How your wallbox gets connected

From the first conversation to a working charging station – the process is straightforward, the details depend on your location.

1. Initial consultationFree and without obligation: we discuss the vehicle, charging power and whether a photovoltaic system should be integrated.
2. Site checkMeter cabinet, cable route and protection: we check what's technically possible at your location.
3. QuoteTransparently itemised, including device, installation and registration.
4. Registration with the grid operatorWallboxes must be registered – we handle the registration for you.

What does a wallbox cost?

The mistake would be to look only at the device price: the bigger and more variable item is the installation – it depends mainly on the route between the meter box and the parking space.

Guideline values as of July 2026 – the individual quote after the site check is decisive. In the simplest case, with the parking space right next to a modern meter box, the total may also be lower.

Incentives in the Canton of Zurich: CHF 500 per parking space

The Canton of Zurich subsidises charging infrastructure with CHF 500 per equipped parking space (up to 15 spaces, then CHF 300 per additional space) and with CHF 2,000 per bidirectional DC charging station; for charging points at company sites, it's 30 percent of the costs up to a maximum of CHF 60,000 per application. For a single-family home, that's a small bonus – for an apartment building with ten parking spaces, it's CHF 5,000.

The pot is almost empty: of the CHF 50 million framework credit, 96 percent had already been claimed by 22 September 2026; the programme ends as soon as the funds are used up, but at the latest at the end of 2026. From two equipped parking spaces, the canton requires load management, and only one application is permitted per parking facility – supplementary applications are excluded. We submit the incentive application for you.

What our quote includes – and what it doesn't

The most common worry before signing isn't the price but the question of what gets added at the end. That's why we show both.

Included: planning and design, materials (modules, inverter, mounting system, cabling), scaffolding, installation, the electrical connection by our own specialist company, commissioning and measurement, registration with the grid operator and the incentive application to Pronovo – we submit it for you.

Shown separately: anything added in individual cases appears as its own item in the quote, not in a lump sum. The most common case: if the existing meter distribution board – the fuse box – is not suitable for the system and needs to be adapted, we invoice this separately. Depending on the property, official fees and work provided by the client may also apply.

Payment in stages, linked to project progress. Under our terms and conditions (AGB), that's 30% on placing the order, 50% on delivery of the main components and 20% after commissioning and acceptance. We agree different terms on a project basis; the arrangement in your quote always applies.

Who is liable for what

After the company bankruptcies in the Swiss solar industry, this is the question that counts in the end – and it has three different answers:

• Product and performance warranties lie with the manufacturer of the modules, inverter and storage. A manufacturer's warranty is only ever as reliable as the manufacturer behind it – that's why, when choosing products, we also consider who will still be reachable if something goes wrong.
• The installation warranty lies with us: installation, electrical work, commissioning. That's the part we honour directly.
• Business liability insurance: as an installation company, we carry liability insurance.

In the event of a fault, you have one point of contact – us – regardless of whose component is affected.
