Two notes on classification: Viessmann has belonged to the US corporation Carrier since early 2024 – the brand, the headquarters and the range continue to exist; for you, little changes in everyday life, it is just good to know. And NIBE is more than a name: Alpha Innotec and Novelan also belong to the Swedish group. Are there Swiss heat pump providers?
Yes – in the Swiss market, alongside the large international brands, established local providers and strong service partners are also present, covering planning, installation and maintenance from the region. In practice, this is often more important than the country of origin of the device: a heat pump needs a reachable service partner over 15 to 20 years. Why the brand is not the most important thing
That is the uncomfortable but honest message: between the good manufacturers, the differences are smaller than advertising would have you believe. What really determines comfort and electricity consumption are three other things:

The installation. A first-class heat pump, poorly dimensioned and set up, runs worse than a solid device, cleanly installed. Therefore, the executing company counts at least as much as the make.
