Who is this guide for?

For everyone starting from zero on solar – who'd like it explained clearly. Typically: homeowners thinking about a system but not yet sure where to start; families for whom a heating replacement or an EV has brought up the solar question; and anyone who wants to understand what will be discussed before the first consultation.

You don't need any prior knowledge. Each chapter explains its own terms, and where a word still remains unfamiliar, the solar glossary helps with 60 terms from A for AC to Z for «Zähler» (meter). No – each chapter stands on its own, and cross-references take you to where something is explained in more depth. But it's worth following the thread: the chapters build on each other from the basic principle through money and technology to the finished project.

No – the guide also explains what doesn't pay off: the oversized battery, the 22 kW wallbox in a single-family home, the cleaning subscription. We're an installation company and say so openly; precisely because of that, we have no interest in disappointed expectations.

The basics (chapters 1–3, 6, 10) apply to everyone. The project chapters are written for single-family homes – apartment buildings and condominium ownership have their own rules, which we cover separately in the guides. As a tenant, you don't decide about the roof, but after the guide you'll understand every bill.

All prices and incentive rates are guideline values with a date and are updated periodically; the current provisions or an individual quote are always binding. Where something changes – for example in incentive programmes – we update the chapters.
