How is your solar electricity remunerated in Uster?
Uster does not belong to the EKZ area, but has an own municipal utility with Energie Uster AG. This does not change the basic model: since the new Electricity Act, all utilities remunerate the fed-in solar electricity according to the federal quarterly averaged reference market price. The remuneration is secured downwards – the legally prescribed minimum remuneration of 6 Rp./kWh applies to solar systems up to 30 kW.
This is currently more than a theoretical lower limit: the reference market price was around 3.9 Rp./kWh in the second quarter of 2026 and thus below the minimum remuneration. In practice, this means that the 6 Rappen currently take effect for the fed-in kilowatt hour. What often characterises a municipal utility in practice are short distances: experience shows that registration and grid connection run more simply than with a large area grid operator. As everywhere, the rule for calculation is: calculate over the annual average and keep self-consumption high – it determines economic viability more strongly than any feed-in tariff.
What incentives do you receive in Uster?
The basis is the federal government: the one-off feed-in incentive (EIV) via Pronovo, around CHF 360 per kW for attached, CHF 400 per kW for in-roof systems (under 30 kW). For a 10 kW system, that is a good CHF 3,600.

Which roofs characterise Uster – from the station to the Greifensee?
